About Heritage above Amsterdam

Heritage above Amsterdam is a collaboration between six heritage sites in North Holland, north of Amsterdam. Together, we offer tour operators and organisers  of group trips a single, comprehensive range of cultural day programmes and multi-day trips.

Collaboration between six sites

Each site has its own story and character. Together, they showcase different aspects of North Holland: trade, water, agriculture, culture, life around the former Zuiderzee and the history of the Dutch East India Company (VOC).

By working together, we make planning a group visit easier. The venues are located a short distance from one another and can therefore be easily combined within a single programme.

You choose the venues that suit your target group, schedule and group size. We’ll help you turn that into a smooth programme.

For organisers, this means easier planning and less coordination. You’ll have a single central point of contact for multiple venues. This keeps the lines of communication short and ensures the programme components fit together seamlessly.

Why choose ‘Heritage above Amsterdam’?

The region’s story

To the north of Amsterdam lies a region with a long history. North Holland has been shaped by trade, water, agriculture and culture. This history is reflected in the region’s towns, villages, museums and landscapes.

In a short space of time, you can visit several places, each with its own atmosphere and story. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, there is more scope for a peaceful and well-organised group programme. This makes ‘Heritage above Amsterdam’ ideal for groups who want to see more of North Holland than just the well-known tourist routes.
